Ahead of the final agreement between the Centre and Naga groups including NSCN (IM), Indian Army chief General Bipin Rawat met Nagaland Governor RN Ravi at Kohima on Thursday. According to reports, the chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Rawat and Governor Ravi, who is also the Naga peace interlocutor, had discussions on the security situation.
During his meeting with the Nagaland Governor, General Rawat was accompanied by the Army Commander of the Eastern Command, Lieutenant General Anil Chauhan. The Army chief also met senior military officers and the chairman of the CFMG.
