With the Pune airport going to remain closed from 8pm on October 15 till 8am on October 30, a chopper firm will operate sorties to and from Mumbai — the nearest operational airport for Pune during this period.
BLADE India says it will have a chopper operating between its Pune vertiport at Kharadi and Juhu Aerodrome, covering this distance in 40 minutes. The one-way Pune-Mumbai fare per person is Rs 15,500 and return fare is 29,500 (taxes extra).
“There are 2 return flights a day. The Pune-Mumbai choppers will leave at 9.30 am and 4.30 pm. The Mumbai-Pune flights are at 10.30 am and 3.30 pm,” said a spokesperson of Blade, which claims to be the “only air carrier flying out of Pune as the airport remains closed from October 16 to 29, 2021.”
BLADE is among the largest arranger of helicopter flights for civilian travel in the US. BLADE India is a JV between BLADE USA and Hunch Ventures, a Delhi-based investment vehicle.
