The top Indian Air Force (IAF) commanders will meet this week to discuss operational capabilities and the future challenges even as Indian forces continue to keep a close watch on the Chinese military deployments close to the Line of Actual Control (LAC) near eastern Ladakh.
The bi-annual commanders’ conference, scheduled to start from April 15, will be inaugurated by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
The meeting assumes great significance as it is being held just days after India and China held the Corps Commander-level talks at the Chushul border point on the Indian side of the LAC in eastern Ladakh. The two nuclear-powered neighbouring countries held the second high-level military talks after disengagement of troops in the Pangong lake areas in eastern Ladakh in February 2021.
Meanwhile, the first bi-annual IAF Commanders’ Conference 2021 will be inaugurated by Singh at Air Headquarters (Vayu Bhawan).
