A Brigade Commander-Level Flag meeting was held between Indian and Pakistan Armies at Poonch-Rawalakot crossing point today to discuss implementation mechanism as per the understanding, according to the Indian Army.

The meeting comes after the Director General of Military Operations (DGMOs) Understanding 2021. In February, the Armies of India and Pakistan had announced that they would stop the cross-border firing along the Line of Control from midnight of February 24 and 25 in order to have a peaceful atmosphere along the disputed border. This was announced by the Defence Ministry after a telephonic conversation between the Director General of Military Operations (DGMOs) from the two armies over the hotline.
