China: ‘Muslims not even allowed to fast in Ramzan; are forcefully fed through community kitchens’

After Chinese President Xi Jinping brazenly described Beijing’s ‘Xinjiang strategy’ as correct, World Uyghur Congress president Dolkun Isa nailed the country’s lies regarding the human rights violations being committed in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region.

Notably, Dolkun Isa lives in exile in Germany. While participating in a webinar ‘Uyghur Muslims and their Human rights violation by China’, Isa claimed that the Muslim community in China are not even permitted to observe fast during the holy month of Ramzan. He added that during Ramzan, Muslims are “forcefully fed through community kitchens”.

The webinar was organised by the Centre for Policy and Development Studies in Kerala’s Thiruvananthapuram.

Isa added that Uyghur Muslims in China are not even permitted to give religious names to their children. And those who raise their voice against the Chinese government while staying abroad are being tracked by the Interpol, added Isa.

“The Chinese Communist Party is denying all human rights of minority Uyghur Muslims. They are not even allowed to give religious names to their children.”
