BSF foils infiltration of Jaish terrorists from Samba border

Alert BSF personnel foiled another sneak-in attempt by Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) terrorists from Samba sector along the international border. On the intervening night of September 26 and 27, alert troops of BSF noticed the movement of about five JeM terrorists along the international border.

Taking advantage of darkness and the thick elephant grass, a group of heavily armed terrorists were trying to sneak in. On spotting their movement, close to the border fence, alert BSF troops challenged and asked them to stop. Instead, they opened fire on the BSF party. To facilitate infiltration, Pakistani Rangers too opened mouths of their guns to provide cover fire.

“‘Under the garb of firing, they were trying to help terrorists infiltrate into the Indian side. However, our vigilant jawans foiled their nefarious design,” said N S Jamwal, IG BSF Jammu Frontier.
