Amidst India-china stand-off, Pakistan violates ceasefire at LoC; possible motives revealed

Jammu: At a time when India is engaged with China in the biggest stand-off between two armies in the eastern sector of Ladakh since 1962, Pakistan is trying to fish in troubled water by opening a second front.

Resorting to cowardly tactics, Pakistan Army is trying to heighten tension along Line of Control (LoC), by targeting villages and forward posts. On Monday morning, Pakistani troops pounded shells on several villages and forward posts in Krishnaghati and Naushera sector in Jammu and Kashmir.

One soldier was martyred and another was injured due to unprovoked shelling from the Pakistani side in Naushera border belt. The incident took place on Monday morning when Pakistan Army resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation along the LoC in Naushera sector of Rajouri. Indian troops responded strongly to the enemy fire. In the incident, soldier identified as Havildar Dipak Karki was martyred. He was critically injured when one of shell fired from across exploded outside their forward post. Flurrying splinters hit Havildar Dipak and he later succumbed to his injuries.
