Indian Air Force’s First 3 Female Fighter Pilots Get “Nari Shakti Puraskar”

Flight Lieutenant Bhawna Kanth, Flight Lieutenant Avani Chaturvedi and Flight Lieutenant Mohana Singh have been awarded with “Nari Shakti Puraskar” by president Ram Nath Kovind.

President Ramnath Kovind has honored them with “Nari Shakti Puraskar” on the occasion of International Women’s Day.

Flight Lieutenant Bhawna Kant, Flight Lieutenant Avni Chaturvedi and Flight Lieutenant Mohana Singh are flying MiG-21 fighter aircraft which was used by Wing Commander Abhinandan against Pakistan.

Avani Chaturvedi, a resident of Satna in Madhya Pradesh, belongs to a military officer family and she got inspiration from his brother to join the army to achieve her goal. Avani always wanted to fly a fighter plane and so she joined her college’s flying club.
